Company Background

Celigo was founded in 2011 by Jan Arendtsz who assembled a small team to work from his garage in North Carolina. Previously having spent 3 years working at Oracle Netsuite, ultimately as Director of Integration Services, it is no surprise that Celigo has a very strong track record in supporting organisations with Netsuite at the heart of their business.

However, Celigo today features a broad connector library and offers the type of toolkit one would expect from an enterprise grade iPaaS.

Code, Low Code & No Code

While Celigo doesn't boast the slickest user interface it is better than the majority of competitors and overall it is easy to use.

The no-code, browser based integration tool makes it quick to get started. Additional capability is available via low code functions and expressions.

For additional power Celigo exposes a REST API to support developers in creating custom connector capabilty.

Data Transformation

Celigo has built in tools to faciliate rapid, visual data mapping and transformations that can be extended with functions and expressions to further manipulate data payloads.

It is possible to deploy individual flows, multiple flows or an entire integratin project. In the case of something going wrong it is possible to revert changes to a previous version.

Full Stack Consulting's Verdict

Pros

Celigo gives a really good balance of enterprise grade integration capability, user friendliness and predicatable costs.

Cons

Currently Celigo doesn't have native support for either message brokers or event streams which makes true decoupling of systems a bit more tricky, likely relying on external message broker services.
